Help! What is this fancy page from the intarwebs all about?
No worries! If you are new to our site, you’ve landed on the right page. Here we will explain what the site is all about and how you can navigate it and special tips to make stalking us even easier!
A quick summary.
We are three friends from college, part of a bigger group of friends, fondly known as ‘Those Guys’. We decided to take on a fifty state road trip of the grand United States of America. We wanted to do it a bit differently and not only document it with film and photo, but share that with everyone as we are doing it. To take it even further we want to show absolutely everything about our travels, from cost of meals and lodging to the exact coordinates of that photo we took, you will be able to see it all. We’ve built the website to do just that, we love having people follow our adventure and we absolutely love it when people suggest places to go and eat. To make that easier for people we created a suggestions page that allows anyone to tell us where to go. We hope you enjoy following along, if there is any way we can make it better, let us know. :D
A guide to our iconography.
We take photos, a lot. More often than not, you will find Freg behind the viewfinder of our Canon 5D Mark II.
We brought too much stuff … seriously. Camping gear, tripods, books, laptops, cables, and tons of clothes. Ahhhh!
Every night we write about the day’s events. Sometimes if we were out partying late the night before it will be posted later normal riddled with spelling errors.
With all the photos we take, we like to make particular collections so you can see a whole bunch of sunsets or whatever it may be all in one place.
We love good beer. We really, really love good beer. This is why it has it’s own section where we can showcase the beers we’ve had on the trip the breweries we’ve visited.

Our camera also doubles as a monster for filming super duper 1080p HD video. We are exploring with timelapses and putting ourselves in front the camera.
Cheap hotels, friends and relatives’ couches, campgrounds … whatever we have to do!
Occasionally we say memorable and/or funny things and like to share.
Depending on our surrounding we may or may not go very far. We like interesting places (with good beer).
We enjoy hiking and hope to show a lot of the trails we’ve come across all across the United States.
If you think something is super rad, please let us know! We would love to showcase the photos and videos our followers enjoy most.
We tag all of our content to help you better find related content.
What is this Twitter? How does it work?
We eat a lot of meals out of a cooler, but almost daily we find unique restaurants to enjoy and critique.
Our thoughts from the road that simply won’t fit into a tweet.
Why are we still using gasoline in 2013 … sigh.
We enjoy running and we need to burn off all those delicious meals and beers, so we plan to show you all the spots we’ve done some running on our adventure.
For the majority of our content you can leave comments and tell us what you think!
One of the goals of this trip is to inform people about road trip costs. While we may be doing the road trip much different than you would, we think it is helpful for people to know how much it cost for us.
We upload our videos to Vimeo and YouTube. We especially ♥ Vimeo and use them to host videos on our site. We upload the highest quality videos we can and set the player to default to High Definition. We do this because we want you to appreciate the trip as much as possible. If you are on a not so speedy internet connection you can pause the player to allow it to buffer or click the ‘HD’ icon to show a lesser quality version of the same video.
