Pink Orb

The sun is slowly creeping down the horizon on Lake Murray. It was beautiful to watch the sun seemingly sink into the distance.

Gold Glow

The sun sits high behind some clouds on Lake Murray. Creating a spectacular golden glow and silhouetting all the water enthusiasts.

Ominous Cloud

The sun, sitting directly behind a large cloud over Lake Murray. The light poking through the cloud creates an ominous looking scene. The boat beneath may or may not be sucked into a worm hole.

Cloud Burst

Looking past the pier towards the horizon there was a bridge that we drove over to get on St. Simons. We watched as the rain cloud overtook the bridge and released its contents while we remain dry and sunny.

Sun Rays

A beautiful sky at Stone Mountain State Park. The clouds block the sun as its light and rays steam through. We enjoyed wonderful weather during our visit to Stone Mountain.

We Need a Beer

Carolyn and Ant review the menu at The Terminal Brewhouse, sitting outside on the large patio. A great ‘must go to’ spot. The beers where much needed after some of Freg’s and other’s crazy driving antics. The home brews here are GREAT!

Gelatos

We all enjoy some gelato during a warm spring evening at Coolato Gelato on downtown Gay St. Carolyn went with a classic chocolate and vanilla combo, Ant went with blood orange, and Freg went with a carmel and pecan combo. Our friend Anna joined us for some more time.

Beautiful Wendy

Wendy is all smiles after completing her last exam for the semester. It’s always a wonderful feeling to be done with exams, especially in a graduate program. We are sitting out at Preservation Pub.

Knoxville Silhouette

The sun sets over downtown as we walked around late afternoon, nearing the end of the day during the Rossini Festival.

Tennessee River

The sun is beginning to set behind downtown Knoxville as we walk over a bridge crossing the Tennessee River.

Clock Tower

The a nice blue afternoon sky compliments the clock tower on top of Hamblen County Courthouse. The detail on the clock tower exhibits nice craftsmanship.

For Those Who Served

Memorials set up outside the Hamblen County Courthouse for those who have served and lost their lives from WWI, WWII, and Operation Desert Storm.

Heart

Craig found a petal on the ground at the Davy Crockett National Park that had a perfectly formed heart shape in the middle.

Touch It

Behind the homestead site of Davy Crockett, Carolyn creeps down to the river to feel the temperature of the water. Consensus: it was cold.

Frontiersman Cabin

A replica of Davy Crockett’s homestead built a few feet away from the actual site. You can look into the cabin and it gives a unique perspective into this famous frontiersman’s life.

Target Practice

A stop sign that looks like it has been target practice for quite a few BB’s. We stopped the car off a Tennessee two-lane to capture this stop sign near an older looking farmhouse.

Sun & Leaves

In the Cypress Grove Nature Park in Jackson, TN. Light streams in through the maple leaves in the forest.

Hangar One

Tight Patterns

The Blue Angel jets hanging in the US Naval Aviation Museum closely portray their close proximity in a normal flight pattern during a show. At the US Naval Aviation Museum

A Pensacola Welcoming

Finally reaching Pensacola Beach from the Gulf Coast National Seashore.

Weather Station

Tristan, this one was taken for you!

Monty’s Brew

An afternoon brew at Monty’s to relax for a while. An afternoon beer can sometimes be a help to the creative process.

Glowing Death

Drowned trees remain strong in SC bog. The sun streams through creating an interesting mix with the clouds.
